“To keep myself from throwing in the towel I have to practice staying grounded.” ~ Valerie J Brown
Being grounded means being completely aware and completely conscious in the NOW moment…..being, exceptionally mindful of what is transpiring in the present.
When we are aware and mindful of our SELF and grounded in the NOW we have the capacity to ground the affection and light from our higher self.
This implies that regardless of what is going on, we stay adjusted, focused and adjusted to our spirit and higher self and we have the capacity to control our responsive, knee jerk, protective behavioral examples of our inner self and shadow cognizance.
Being grounded is an, extremely hard assignment in light of the fact that we have an self personality that likes to take us into the eventual fate of “What If’s” and into the past of should have, could have, would have……. , sadness, blame and awareness.
At the point when our awareness is completely right now ~ we are, extremely mindful of everything going on inside and around our being NOW ~ even the center sensations in the body.
This reminds me of the story of the little boy, “The boy was very young. It was his first experience with kite flying. His father helped him, and after several attempts, the kite was in the air. The boy ran and let out more string, and soon the kite was flyi high. The little boy was so excited; the kite was beautiful. Eventually there was no more string left to allow the kite to go higher. The boy said to his father, “Daddy, let’s cut the string and let the kite go; I want to see it go higher and higher.”
His father said, “Son, the kite won’t go higher if we cut the string.”
“Yes, it will,” responded the little boy. “The string is holding the kite down; I can feel it.” The father handed a pocket knife to his son. The boy cut the string. In a matter of seconds the kite was out of control. It darted here and there and finally landed in a broken heap. That was difficult for the boy to understand. He felt certain the string was holding the kite down.
The commandments and laws of God are like the kite string. They lead us and guide us upward. Obedience to these laws gives us peace, hope, and direction.
